Hello and welcome to the Malkan Show podcast. I am Meghana Malkan, thank you so much for joining me today for this episode of the podcast.

I have begun with this podcast because after being coached by the world's best I wanted to share with you guys what success habits, success tools, and q's have helped me get on to higher levels of performance at work. Have a great relationship with my spouse and kids and what really helps me stay focused and motivated all the time.

So guys, let's dive into the next episode.

If you're going to be successful, you are going to need to learn how to deal with rejection. Rejection is a natural part of life. You get rejected. When you are not picked for the team or don't get to be part of the team as a student. You don't get to be part of the school play or maybe don't get elected.

You don't get into the University of your choice, or you don't get the job promotion that you will look forward to or the increment that you looking forward to or maybe you get the appointment you requested or maybe the date that you asked for has refused to come out with you or the worst is you get fired.

You get rejected when your book manuscript was rejected or when your business proposal is turned down, or maybe your fundraising request is ignored, whatever it is. The worst is your offer of marriage is not accepted.

The thing is, if we get a rejection, we need to realize that rejection is really just a myth, which does not really exist. It is simply a concept that you hold in your head.

I mean, think about it, you ask someone to go out for a date with you and she says though and maybe you don't have anyone else to vote on a date with, and you maybe you wouldn't have anyone else to go on and read with either after that night? 

You think in your head that maybe what we very strong was, right? No one will ever like me. Maybe I'm not meant to be with someone. Or think about this scenario, where you apply for apply to University for a high school and you don't get it. But the thing is you will never part of the University before and you still are not part of a university. And if you have spent your whole life, not going to Curse. You still know that it's fine for you. So, the truth is you never have anything to lose by asking because there's something to possibly gain. And I always need to ask

So whenever you ask anyone for anything, you remember, always some people, visit some people won't, but the thing is what you need to think is so what someone else is still waiting for you. Maybe some people will say yes. Some would say no, but someone out there is waiting for you and your ideas. This is simply a numbers game. You have to keep asking until you get a yes. As, you know, Mark Victor Hansen has said "what you want wants you" this is so powerful which means you just have to hang in there long enough to eventually get a yes to whatever it is, you want?

So, we need to get used to the idea that there is going to be a lot of rejection along the way to where you want to go along the road to your success, the secret to success, is not to give up. So, when someone says no, the best one for you to say, the next Who's Next just keep on asking so one person is removed or someone else.

Remember there are over 7 billion people on the planet someone somewhere sometime Will say Yes to You

Don't get stuck in fear or sin. Just move on to the next person. It's just a numbers game. Someone is waiting to say yes to you. Every big person everyone who has ever made it to the top has had to endure rejections, you just have to realize that they are not personal.

Angie Everhart who started modeling at the age of 16 was once told a model agency owner, lean forward that you would never make it as a model when she asks, why not? They said redheads, don't sell ever hart later became the first record in history to appear on the cover of Glamour magazine and she had a great modeling career that went to appear on 27th.

And numerous TV shows the famous Kids, author JK Rowling should I go the first manuscript of Harry Potter and went around Publishers were so many of them rejected her script where one of them agreed to publish it and lo and behold, you know, what's there? Do you know what unfolded after that? I mean that's one of the highest hit series on children fiction.

So that's what it is. It's it may sound really bad. If it is really awful when you get rejected, but the thing is, the idea is to move on, just keep asking and move on. Remember, someone somewhere is waiting for you and your ideas.
